Not long ago, seventeen-year-old Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) has won the annual, brutal hungar games together with her friend Peeta (Josh Hutcherson). The people celebrate them as their heroes and idols. Snow (Donald Sutherland), president of the capitol, senses a revolution and therefore tries to find a way to damage their popularity. He changes the rules of the hunger games and so Katniss and Peeta have to compete again but this time against all the other winners. During the fight, they realize that they underestimated the extent of Snow’s plan…
